Thomas Bruno - President & CEO
As the President and CEO and a member of the Velocity Board of Directors, Tom Bruno provides day-to-day leadership and is personally involved in the strategy, product development, financing and M&A activities.
Prior to launching Velocity in 2003, Tom was a principal and executive board member of Eisner LLP, where he directed consulting services for the large New York-based accounting firm. During his tenure with Eisner, Tom created numerous business units focused on simplifying the implementation and use of enterprise software. He was responsible for a number of private equity investment transactions which funded several Internet- and technology-oriented start-ups, including FashionMall.com, Titan Technologies, and Cardinal Commerce.
Prior to his years with Eisner, Tom ran a software development company which focused on developing applications for real estate and educational institutions.
Stephen Shippee - EVP & CFO
Steve Shippee provides overall management of Velocity's financial and administrative operations, as well as all M&A activity. He has been with the company since 2005.
Prior to joining Velocity, Steve served as CFO and COO at Broadway Video Entertainment, a diversified media company owned by Lorne Michaels, the executive producer of Saturday Night Live for nearly 11-years, where he led the company's efforts in the acquisition and integration of various media assets and operating entities.
Following his completion of General Electrics Financial Management Program, Steve served as manager of operations analysis and business modeling for GE’s $4 billion per-year Consumer Electronics business unit. He has also served as a guest lecturer in finance at Cornell University. Steve earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction from Cornell University in business management and finance.
Paul Cioni - SVP of Service Delivery
Paul Cioni shepherds all aspects of customer service delivery, including facilities and infrastructure, processing environments, network, service deployment, customer service and professional services. Paul has been in the managed application services market for more than fifteen years.
Prior to joining Velocity, Paul served as the vice president of application services for NaviSite, Inc. Before that, he was director of sales and service offering management for netASPx, Inc. Paul started his career in technology with Andersen Consulting as a technical architect in the enterprise group.
Paul served as an Engineer in the United States Army for five years, which included tours in Central America, Southwest Asia, and providing humanitarian relief during Hurricane Hugo. Paul earned a bachelor’s degree from The United States Military Academy in computer science.

Tom Hughes - SVP & GM of JDE Services
As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Velocity’s Oracle JD Edwards Services, Tom Hughes provides executive leadership and strategic direction for all JD Edwards related services.
Prior to joining Velocity, Tom was founder, president, CEO and chairman of the board of WTS, Inc., the industry leader in JD Edwards private cloud solutions and managed disaster recovery services. During his tenure at WTS, Tom provided strategic vision and direction, bringing 27 years of experience since he first selected and implemented Oracle’s JD Edwards software. As an early adopter, Tom has been instrumental in the deployment and strategic direction of JD Edwards software and its use in a private cloud environments.
Tom graduated magna cum lade from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Doug Mow - SVP of Sales & Marketing
Doug Mow is responsible for all marketing and sales activities, including new customer acquisition, demand generation and strategic alliances. He oversees corporate communications, media and analyst relations, social media and web strategy. Doug has held executive positions for over 20 years in start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. His experience in the SaaS market traces back to the ASP Industry Consortium where he was on the board of directors in 2001.
Previously, Doug worked for Virtusa Corporation managing all aspects of worldwide marketing, supporting a wide portfolio of IT services. During his tenure, he completely overhauled the company image and generated unprecedented lead flow, resulting in record revenues. He also built a social media platform which was widely covered by industry analysts. As a result, Virtusa’s shareholder value grew several times over. Prior to Virtusa, Doug held executive positions at Exigen Services, NaviSite and Qwest Communications.
Doug is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in business management and marketing.
